Overview
The Unication G3 is the first voice pager ever produced with simultaneous dual-band analog and P25 digital capability across VHF and UHF. Available in VHF (136-174 MHz) plus UHF C Band (400-470 MHz) or VHF plus UHF D Band (450-520 MHz), each band independently supports P25 Trunking Phase I and II, P25 Conventional, Analog 2-Tone, 5-Tone, MDC-1200, CTCSS, and CDCSS. Sensitivity is rated at negative 122 dBm per band with image rejection of 55 to 65 dB, and audio output exceeds 300 mW at 96 dB SPL with less than 2 percent distortion.
The G3 solves the mutual aid problem that single-band pagers cannot: fire departments operating a VHF primary system alongside a UHF mutual aid network no longer need to carry two separate pagers. Both bands run simultaneously with independent TGID monitoring, priority scan, and full-spectrum trunked system scan on each band. Text messaging and image transfer work across both bands, and custom WAV and MP3 alert tones can be configured per zone for immediate audible differentiation between primary and mutual aid traffic.
The 2-inch color high-impact resistant display carries 100 minutes of stored voice and 100 minutes of voice memo. AES 256-bit, DES, and ARC4 encryption are supported, and Bluetooth 2.0 and 4.0 handle wireless audio and data accessories. The G3 is IP67 waterproof to 3 feet for 30 minutes, MIL-STD-810 rated, software-defined for firmware updates, and backed by a 2-year standard warranty with a 5-year option available.
