Overview
The Unication G1 is a single-band analog voice pager available in Low Band (33-49 MHz), VHF (137-164 MHz), and UHF (450-520 MHz) configurations, built specifically for volunteer fire departments, EMS agencies, and public safety responders who depend on pagers for dispatch alerting. RF sensitivity is rated at 2 to 3.5 microvolts per meter field strength, with an audio output of more than 300 mW at 94 dB SPL measured at 12 inches, ensuring calls come through clearly even in fringe coverage areas where other pagers fall short.
The G1 is IP67 waterproof and dustproof, submersible to 3 feet for 30 minutes, and MIL-STD-810 rated for drop resistance to 10 feet with a rubberized, shatter-resistant housing. The no-display design keeps operation simple, with 7 programmable backlight colors providing visual alert confirmation without requiring the responder to read a screen. Sixteen minutes of stored voice and 11 minutes of voice memo capacity allow responders to replay pages and leave notes. Bluetooth enables wireless audio accessories, and up to 64 channels cover complex multi-zone systems.
The G1 is software-defined, meaning firmware updates deliver new features and protocol improvements without hardware replacement. A 2-year warranty is standard, with a 5-year option available for departments that want to protect the investment over a longer service horizon. VEI provides programming support and direct access to Unication firmware downloads.
